Allan Guthmiller is a regular participant at the Riverside Telescope Makers Conference since 1977. He joined the RTMC AE Board of Directors in 1991 and currently serves a Vendor Chairman. A Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist by day, Allan's passion lies among the stars. Over the years he has built many telescopes. His latest telescope is a trailer mounted 20” f/5 Newtonian (Galaxy Optics mirror) on a 36” diameter split ring yoke mount made of cast iron. The instrument is designed for astrophotography and has taken many “film” and ”CCD” images since its “First Light” on 11 Dec 1998.
